What Was Your Favorite Food Magazine of 2009?

I am obsessed with Saveur!

I LOVE Food Network Magazine. Not only does it have great recipes, but it also covers stuff about your favorite Food Network chefs. I will keep every single one of those forever, they're like a food bible to me.

Last year everybody raved about Cooking Light on these polls, so I asked for a subscription for Christmas, and while I've found a few recipes that I like a lot, overall it's been a bit of a disappointment. Trying their recipes is really hit or miss, and when it's a miss it's been really bad.

So, I still love Rachael Ray's magazine the most. It's consistently good and love love her recipes.

Alright. Which one of you let the Anonymous mime in the room?

I like the free publications that many of the local grocery stores put out. They feature in season foods as well as local products. Did I mention that they are free?

Cooks Illustrated

Yeah, why no Cook's Illustrated? That's mine too.

I love Food Network Magazine...the recipes are usually accessible and they always turn out great. I have made the sauerbraten recipe from the October issue probably 3 times already. My husband is absolutely obsessed with it. I also really like Bon Appetit, but I usually dismiss about half the recipes in it because they seem too "frou frou" for me.

While I do love Food & Wine, this year some of their issues have been filled with "specialty item" recipes. So Cook's Illustrated gets my vote.

Fine Cooking and Cook's Illustrated more than Gourmet that I voted for.

My favorite is Cook's Magazine, which you don't list.

I absolutely love Saveur. Their breakfast issue was the best issue ever!

I like Food & Wine!

I didn't really get any magazines this year. I grab whatever looks good on the rack Though last year my friend raved about vegetarian times.

Definitely Cook's Illustrated and Fine Cooking, but I voted for Gourmet because I'm heartbroken that 1)it's cancelled and 2) I didn't get my hands on the final issue before it disappeared. Le sigh.

My favorite, Clean Eating, is not on the list!

Cooks Illustrate DEFINITELY! I'm obsessed with it, and there sister publication, Entertaining.

I like 70 % of Rachael's food & recipes showing on tv every Satuday & Sunday in Indonesia.

I enjoy Rachael Rays Show & Magazine as much as I enjoy Ellens Show and Ellen on the Cover of Ophrahs' Magazine!

Only thing is: On your show....I see you don't do too many Vegan & Fruit salads. Fried foods aren't good for digestion, neither is foods with too much salt and carbohydrates. Meat isn't good neither! [Just ask Dr. Oz!]
Can you please cut down on the fried foods, junk foods, and foods that contain meat [as well as foods with trans fat & saturated fats, and with carbohydrates? This also includes d esserts with a lot of sugar! I also notice you don't serve your guests any Green Tea. Why? Green Tea is VERY GOOD forthe body. [Remember the old saying: "You ARE what you eat"? Well, if [people] eat fat foods...then they will get FAT! How about cooking a lot of NON-FAT FOODS on your show? Would be a good idea.

Where is Taste Of Home, and, Vegetarian Times? I love both of these magazines, too. Will vote for Rachel Ray, though...thanks.

Hey Rach, I love your Magazine and your show. I learn so much about cooking from watching and trying out your GREAT recipes. My boyfriend thinks I'm the BEST cook EVER! Thanks to you!!! LOL. I love the Magazine so much I got me and my daughter n law a subscription last year, and just renewed both of them for another year.
